Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the time. Ten weeks after the first time she tried out the sport, she finished second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She broke a Junior World Record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
